By accessing or using AllowanceVault ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AllowanceVault is a virtual allowance tracking tool for families. It allows parents to manage children's allowances, set savings goals, and track spending through a digital interface. AllowanceVault is not a bank, financial institution, or payment processor. No real money is held, transferred, or managed by the Service.

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Child accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Create accounts using automated means
  • Impersonate another person or entity

5. Data and Content

You retain ownership of the data you enter into AllowanceVault. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content. We use your data only to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

7. Limitation of Liability

AllowanceVault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Since AllowanceVault does not handle real money, we are not responsible for any financial decisions made based on data tracked in the Service.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
